Solid, Liquid, and Gas

Today we learned a little bit about the differences between solids, liquids, and gases. We talked about how water is a liquid and it can become a solid or a gas. The children explored with water at the sensory table. They used cups and containers to measure and pour water. During art we painted with colored ice cubes. We discovered that when the ice melted it left color on our paper. We felt a gas by holding a hand in front of our mouth and exhaling on it.
