Flowers and Using a Balance

During art the children created their own flower garden. We talked about how flowers have buds or blossoms, stems, and leaves. Then the children used tissue paper and green markers to create their own flowers.

This week we also learned how to use a balance. We experimented with different objects around our classroom to see which one was heavier or lighter. We put an object on one side and counted how many bears it would take to make both sides equal.

The children are looking close to see if the arrow match up to show that the two sides of the balance are the same.

Holy Week Art

During playtime the children took turns helping create an Easter Sign.

The children created Easter place mats to decorate the tables for the Easter breakfast.

They used their fingers to paint a "stained glass" cross.

After the children learned the story of Jesus Riding into Jerusalem, they made their own palm branches. They also learned about the word Hosanna.
